Striking modern blue vase designed by Nils Thorsson for Aluminia (Royal Copenhagen) in Denmark. Several items were produced in this line, which was known as Marselis. Vase dates to sometime in the 1950s. Wonderful smooth dark blue glaze with vertical line ribbing.

Vase measure about 5 3/4 inches tall and 6 inches across the top. Has some heft to it – weighing in at about 3 lbs. In excellent condition, with no cracks or chips that we can see. Inside of vase has a few calcium deposits from being used, but everything else looks really nice. Marked on bottom “Marselis Denmark 2646″ along with the Aluminia symbol and Nils Thorsson’s mark.
