Super cute, blue mini enamel teapot – made in the Danish Modern style. We actually aren’t sure when this was manufactured or where, but it has a solid cast iron feel that makes us think mid-70s at latest. While it’s probably not related to the Michael Lax or Cathrineholm teakettles, it does have the same sort of enamel and sturdy construction of those models. However, we feel it could also have been made in Japan in the 1970s as well. We think this would be perfect for that single serving of tea.
Teapot is very small (see the comparison with the Pyrex cup in the 3rd picture). Lid is enamel with a wooden knob. Interior of kettle and bottom of lid are white enamel, while outside is a dark blue. Handle is also made of wood and attached by pins. In good condition, all wood parts show lots of wear (handle appears to have bit of smoke damage) but seem to be intact. Enamel is mostly in good shape with no major chips or dings, a few flea bites and scuffs here and there, mostly to edges.
Measures about 6.5″ tall with the handle extended, with a 3.75″ diameter opening.
