A lovely matte periwinkle or slate blue dinner plate made by the Gladding McBean company. This line was called “Catalina Rancho” and was produced for a relatively short time in the 30s-40s. There is often confusion that this was made by Catalina Pottery (many sites state this is from Catalina). It is not technically, though it was creating using molds from the Catalina Pottery – Gladding McBean purchased the entire company and the molds earlier on and repurposed many of their items.
This would make a great display piece, or perhaps you need a single dinner plate from the Rancho line. Plate is in good condition with a few scuffs and some scratches, though not too many. Marked on reverse with ink stamp reading “California Rancho Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.”
Plate measures about 10.25″ in diameter.
