Difficult to find complete Descoware butter warmer set in flame red-orange enamel glaze. Descoware was Julia Child’s favorite enamelware, and the company later turned into the famous Le Creuset company. The vintage cast iron ware comes in many colors, but the most widely known is the orange-red fade enamel.
This is a complete three piece set including warmer, lid and trivet stand. Warmer measures about 3.5 inches across and when together on stand about 2.5 inches tall.
The set is in remarkable condition for its age and for being a well used item. The one bit of damage that should be mentioned is a 1/2 inch chip to the enamel of the lid. There’s also some usage crazing and wear on the handle and bottom of the trivet. Please see the accompanying photos for details of wear.
