An elegant, cranberry red enamel bowl from Emalox, a Norwegian company that made various aluminum kitchenware items with bright colored enamels. They probably produced from the 1950s up until the 1980s.
This bowl is typical of the style you’ll see from Emalox, with the entire bowl enameled inside and out, and an exposed rim. Most Emalox isn’t marked on the actual bowl – the use of stickers was the only way they were identified. This has a partial original foil diamond shaped sticker on the bottom – it would have read “Emalox Norway”.
Bowl measures about 8 1/4″ wide and 3 1/4″ tall. In good condition with just one minor ding on the top rim (see 2nd photo). Some minor scuffs here and there, but for the most part a nice clean enamel bowl. Would make a great addition to your Emalox enamel collection, or maybe the start of a new one!
