Freeman Lederman Bottle
Tagged with: bottleceramicsfreeman lederman

Beautiful, biomorphic white vinegar bottle from Freeman Lederman. We’re uncertain who the designer might be, but have seen a number of other houseware items produced in this simple style with a red dot and black script. Those other items included canisters, oil/vinegar cruets and shakers. We don’t know if this bottle originally had a cork stopper.

Marked on the bottom in red with the “FL” mark for Freeman Lederman and an “N” inside of a “C”. We don’t think this is either La Gardo Tackett’s or Kenji Fujita’s work as others have said. If you know who the designer is, please contact us.

In good vintage condition with no major damage. The neck mouth appears to have a manufacturing flaw that shows up as a crack line on the inside. However, the outside appears to be glazed over, which makes us think this damage occurred during manufacture. The bottle itself is a bit “wobbly” due to the way the bottom has been finished. It also sits at quite a severe diagonal (see photo), though that angle appears to be intentional.
