Georges Briard Tray
Tagged with: georges briardglasssaletray

An lovely Georges Briard glass serving tray with wonderful midcentury gold leaf decorations. The Georges Briard (aka Jascha Brojdo) name has been associated with many different companies, but we aren’t certain which one might have manufactured this particular tray. We think it’s likely from the 1960s.

Tray has two wooden handles with brass tips attached on either end of tray. Glass is smooth on the front and “bumpy” on the back. Gold leaf decoration is an assortment of different symbols. Marked with the Georges Briard name in gold on the front corner.

The tray is in good condition with a bit of wear to wood handles (see photos) but the gold decoration is in very good shape. There are 2-3 very small fleabites to the bottom outer edges, but these don’t affect the display or use of the piece.

Glass tray measures about 16.5″ long and 7″ wide.
