A stylish midcentury modern ashtray produced by Hyalyn Pottery. This wonderful shape comes from the Casual Craft line, which was designed by Erwin Kalla in the late 1950s. They made a number of different colored, mottled glazes on these wonderful gardenware, dinnerware and accessory shapes. The color on this piece is a very dark brown with black speckles.

The ashtray would be great as table decor in a modern house, even for non-smokers. In great vintage condition with no major damage. The cork bottom, which is standard on many Hyalyn pieces, has mostly come off on this piece. This has revealed the imprint stamp on the bottom which reads “K-14 USA”.

Measures about 5.5″ in diameter.
