Lovely set of 2 IIttala candlestick holders designed by Timo Sarpaneva in the mid 1960s. These wonderful Finnish candleholders, known as the “Festivo” line, are still in production today, and come in several different “heights” – we’ve seen them referred to in terms of the number of rings that they have. These are shorter and have a single ring between the ends.
These pressed glass candleholders have a wonderful textured look that resembles ice. While they are sometimes signed with “TS” on the bottom, the two we have are not and this leads us to believe that they are more modern. Still wonderful modern objects for a table setting.
In good shape, but one candlestick has a tiny chip or flake on the top. This is very difficult to see, and in fact we weren’t even able to take a photo of it because of the bumpy nature of the glass. We attempted to show the chip in the 4th picture.
Candleholders are 2 3/4″ wide and about 3″ tall. We believe they should fit a standard sized taper.
