A beautiful addition to any mid-century modern table, this small enamel bowlis made by Kyes of California in a lovely cerulean blue. We’ve been trying to find out more information about the Kyes company because we come across their trays quite frequently. They have a very distinctive style in various sizes and glaze colors. Although they were probably made in the 1960s-70s, they have a bit of that older “Hollywood Regency” style look to them due to the scrollwork footers.
We come across bowls much less frequently than the flat trays. This one has a wonderful subtle “Moire Glaze” that almost makes it look like water. Lovely scrollwork style feet elevate the bowl.
Bowl measures about 6 inches across and is marked with a circular sticker that reads ““Moire Glaze KYES Handwrought California”. In good vintage condition but with some chipping to the rim, though it’s only on the very top. Some minor wear and a few scuffs to the interior.
