An amazing Laurids Lonborg cast iron candlehlolder from Denmark. Unfortunately, we only found the base for this candleholder. However, we thought it might be useful as a small receptacle for odds and ends, or as a decorative element. Or, perhaps you might have the other parts and are missing this base.
The original complete piece has a smaller cast iron holder that sits on the base, a small metal insert and a smoke colored glass chimney for the candle. The interior of this base piece has beautiful teal blue enamel – the rest of the piece is extremely heavy cast iron.
Marked on bottom with “LONBORG DENMARK”. In good condition with a few minor scratches to both the interior enamel and some wear to the cast iron on the outside. Seems to have a tiny flake on the footer base.
Measures about 8″ in diameter and is about 1 1/4″ tall.
