OK, so we just couldn’t wait until these little guys were up in the store. We were nearly giddy to find these Lisa Larsson dog figurines designed for Gustavsberg just hanging out at the swap meet last week.
Amazingly, they were still there even though it was almost mid-day. Perhaps it’s because Larsson is most well known for her lion figurine, but it’s pretty easy to recognize her style once you see a few of them. Plus, they were still marked with tags!
This is the first time we’ve ever come home with some of her work. She made a whole host of other animal and person figurines, as well as other amazing ceramics. This is a bulldog and a pekingese, both from her Kennel collection. Look for both of these little doggies to appear in the shop in a week or so.
