An impressive Art Deco era planter by Metlox, featuring a ram’s head with flowers in relief on either end. This was made by the Metlox company in the 1930s – beautiful thick aqua matte glaze completely covering this large planter.
Would be a wonderful centerpiece inside or outside the house. We actually aren’t certain if it’s a planter or bowl, but at this point we’re leaning toward a planter. In excellent vintage condition with no damage – very little noticeable wear at all on it. The interior seems to have a few water marks and some very light scratches on the very bottom.
Marked on the bottom with “Mission Bell P616 California” – many Metlox planter items were marked this way. Measures about 13 1/2″ long, 7 1/4″ wide and 4 1/4″ tall.
