Nino Parrucca Dish - $15.00
Tagged with: ceramicsdishitalynino parrucca

A cute small dish or ramekin from Nino Parrucca. The dish has a handpainted depiction of purple grapes on a vine in the center and dark blue (closer to purple) rings around the rim. We’re uncertain if this might be the bottom of a butter tray, but it seems more like a small dish to us.

We aren’t as familiar with the Parrucca works, but we know that the company still exists and is producing ceramics to this day. To our knowledge, Parrucca began producing thes types of ceramic items in the 1960s in Palermo, Sicily. We’re uncertain whether or not he was the one who decorated this one, because the items were known to have been decorated by both him and his family at their workshop.

In good vintage condition with no major damage. There is some crazing throughout the piece, as well as several glaze pinholes and skips, most notably on the rim. Note, in the photos what looks like a hairline on the rim is actually a glaze artifact. Fully marked on the botom with “Made in Italy 108 Nino Parrucca”.

Dish measures about 4.75″ in diameter and about 1.25″ tall.
