Amazing rare black glazed water bottle or server, attributed to Pacific Clay Products, known more commonly as Pacific Pottery. Unmarked on bottom, but we strongly suspect this bottle is made by them as we’ve seen identical pieces attributed to Pacific that were also unmarked.
We believe that the black glaze makes this bottle even more desirable, though we aren’t experts on Pacific. More info and discussion on this product is on the Potteries of California blog. If you happen to know more about it, please let us know.
In very good vintage condition – has one or two scratches and a few scuffs, but otherwise is in great shape. There is no lid for this bottle unfortunately, but due to its rarity we think that serious collectors may be able to overlook this – or perhaps you happen to have a spare lid! Still, we are discounting this piece significantly – we have seen retail prices on non-black examples without lids above $120.
Bottle measures about 6 inches tall and 3 inches across the base.
