Lovely decorative advertising dish or plate by Palshus of Denmark. It was made for the Heering company (Cherry Heering is their most famous iqueur). This dish is interesting because it appears to be designed by Jens Quistgaard – we’d heard that he was only designing at Palshus for a very short time, from 1948 to 1950. But we aren’t certain because this dish is an advertising item.
Front of dish has the Heering name and a logo. Side of triangular dish has “Cherry Heering” written on all three sides – we’ve seen varieties of this dish that have other drink names around the sides as well.
In good vintage condition, with a bit of crazing to the front interior. A few minor nicks and scratches, mostly to the back. “Marked on back with Palshus JHQ Made In Denmark”.
Measures about 7.5″ across the dish, and 7″ on each side.
