An amazing large set of sixteen (16) modern interlocking stacking candleholders by BMF/Nagel. Designed by Fritz Nagel and Caesar Stoffi and manufactured in Germany, these are meant to be modular pieces that can be stacked together in different ways for a wonderful look. Each taper hole will accept a corresponding foot from another piece, so that it is possible to create interesting sculptures. Standard chrome finish on all of these. Price is for the SET of 16 candleholders. Very heavy - boxed will weigh about 10 pounds.
PLEASE NOTE - the candle taper holes vary in size and placement, so that you often need to "find" the right position in order to put them together. In addition, care must be taken when disassembling them - if too much pressure or torque is put on them, the weld points CAN snap. We found this out the hard way - this was originally a set of 18!
In good vintage condition, with some minor wear and tarnish to the pieces, a few light scratches and marks. Candle wax remaining in the holes - we've successfully removed most of it, but they could use additional cleaning. A few small nicks occasionally - see the 5th photo for an example on the edge of one of the taper holes.
Each candleholder measures about 2 1/2" tall and 4" wide along one side. Taper holes are about 1/2" wide.
