Wonderful brown West German vase designed by Hanns Welling for Ceramano. This line was called Agina, and features very roughly carved out decor featuring stylized birds, triangles and squares. Probably dates to the 1960s - this decor seems like something Bitossi or the other Italian makers might have done. Bubbled light and dark brown lava texture to the surface, bottom side of vase has carved out vertical lines and is slightly smaller in diameter than rest of vase. Interior glazed smooth brown. Bottom is incised with "707/7 W. Germany Ceramano E3 Agina" with another word that we couldn't make out.
In good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Some pops to glaze, texture of design is very rough, some wear to interior from use.
Measures about 8 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide.
