A wonderful small pottery vase attributed to Edith Heath of Heath Ceramics fame. We have always been curious about this line after first seeing them in Jack Chipman's California Pottery Scrapbook. We've now had a few of them and having recently seen some of the pieces while on the Heath Sausalito tour, can state that they are indeed associated with Edith Heath, and likely from the 1960s.
Light rosy matte pink glaze with brown speckling on the sides, and darker brown glaze on the top rim. We've seen it come in either this pink color or a light blue, with different forms - mostly vases and bowls, though. Would make a great addition to a Heath collection, and would look great displayed with other mid century pottery. Unmarked on the bottom, though we have had others that were marked.
In good condition with no cracks or chips. A few light metal marks here and there.
Measures about 6 inches tall, 3 inches wide at top, 4 3/4 inches at widest.
