A fabulous modernist design studio pottery elongated footed dish by noted designer Edmund Ronaky. The decor consists of a stylized hunter with spear in black, white and orange glaze on a light blue glaze with black highlights. Have seen this design called "Eskimo" in some places, appears to be uncommon. Red clay construction typical of pieces by Ronaky, long dish shape with 3 feet on bottom - likely produced in the 1950s. Signed on bottom with incised "Ronaky".
In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips - the exception are 3-4 small chip flakes on the edges, the worst is shown in the last photo. Some crazing throughout the piece, pops to glaze, light wear to the bottom feet.
Measures about 17 1/2" tall, 3 3/4" wide at top
