Wonderful modernist bird print by the artist Emile Norman (1918-2009). Entitled "Francolin", features a stylized art deco to modern depiction of a pheasant or partridge bird with reeds and other plants. Colors are muted brown gray and blue. I believe the original is from 1966 as that date is shown within the print, but this edition print was from 1968 as that information is in the border. Signed with pencil in the bottom left hand corner. Matted with gray/green board, dark wood presentation frame with glass, hanging wire on back.
In good vintage condition, with no damage to the print. There is some light wear, nicks to the wood frame. Paper backing shows tearing and wear - did not remove print from frame.
Full frame measures about 18 1/2" by 13 1/2", viewable print area about 12 1/2" by 7 1/2".
