A fantastic wood carving wall hanging plaque designed by Evelyn Ackerman for ERA in 1963. The Ackermans need no introduction - they were one of the most important designers/craftsmen in California during the mid century era - please see the Ackerman website for more information. This particular design was known as "Flora de Madera", and features an intricate carved design depicting a woman with flowing hair holding a large daisy flower. Would look great on the wall in a mid century modern setting. Metal hanging hook at top on reverse side. Unmarked, but we've seen these with and without an EA sig on the front near bottom. No marks on reverse.
In good vintage condition with no cracks or damage. Very light wear to finish here and there. Dust and dirt in crevices. Back has some staining from the finishing process, some lines in the surface.
Measures about 24 1/2 inches tall, 9 inches wide, and 1 1/4 inches thick.
