Freeman Lederman Tray

Fantastic large round yellow lacquered wooden tray distributed by Freeman Lederman in Japan. We have seen these shapes commonly attributed to Aomine Shigemichi and produced by NCC Japan, but have not seen any confirming evidence. The lacquer yellow is also reminiscient of some Kenji Fujita items, and he did produce some wood items and go-alongs for Freeman Lederman. This particular tray also has cutout handles that are wrapped with cane, and is covered with a shiny yellow lacquer. Back of tray is painted black. Marked with Freeman Lederman sticker.

In good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Some slight wear and imperfections in the yellow lacquer finish, see photos for example. Some wear to the cane handles.

About 14 1/2" wide.
