Great looking stoneware studio pottery ashtray by Hal Fromhold, possibly by Bertil Vallien. Hand thrown, six notch light orange/brown and beige stoneware piece, with a very interesting dark brown inset design in center that almost looks like a roman coin. Marked on bottom edge with the Hal Fromhold stamp, guessing 1960s era. For the non-smokers out there, would look great displayed with other mid century studio pottery.
In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some roughness on bottom, remnants of felt pads. Numerous pops to glaze, some manufacturing and glazing roughness.
Measures about 9 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
