Harrison McIntosh Glass Vase

A beautiful and rare incised bulbous glass vase designed by the famed California ceramicist Harrison McIntosh for Mikasa. While McIntosh's pottery pieces are revered as icons of mid century modern design, his glass pieces are less well known and were produced in very limited numbers in the 1960s-70s. The elegant form and design is very similar to his ceramic pieces, down to the lines on the side which actually look to be incised by hand. Unmarked, but with original foil sticker reading "Mikasa Crystal Spiegelau Germany".

In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. A bit of water deposits and spotting to interior. A few light scratch or scuff marks but not that noticeable.

Measures about 7 1/2 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide at top, 5 inches at widest point.
