Elegant set of four unusual Schmid porcelain liqueur cups with black painted wood bases. Designed by La Gardo Tackett for Schmid International, these rather tall cocktail sipping cups are often mistaken for bud vases. Believe they were called Lotus Liqueur cups. Would be great for the Tackett collector, or could serve as interesting modern decoration. Two of the cups have a red foil Japan sticker, and two of the bases have blue Japan stickers on bottom.
In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips to the porcelain. While the porcelain cups vary only slightly in height, they are different in thickness and the amount that they can be inserted into the bases - this is why it looks like some are taller than others in our photos. Wear to the stickers, the cup ends have a bit of browning, some black marks.
Measures about 4 inches tall, 1 1/4 inch wide top, 3/4 inch wide at bottom. Bases are about 1 1/2 inches tall, 1 5/8 inches at widest. Measures about 4 3/8 inches tall together, though heights vary.
