Murano Glass Modern Sculpture

A fantastic, unusual glass sculpture consisting of a clear glass sphere ball attached to a heavy chartreuse green rectangular solid glass block, with brown wave inclusion decor. We thought this was a decanter at first, but it is completely solid, heavy glass weighing almost 7 pounds. Our first though was a Kosta Boda piece, but we now think it's an Italian sculpture, probably some sort of Murano glass. We've seen a few pieces which have similar characteristics including Cenedese Uranium pieces by Antonio Da Ros and Venini. However, this piece is unmarked on bottom. Would be interested in anyone knows more about the origin, we are guessing 1980s to early 1990s production though it could be earlier.

In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some light wear, a few scuffs or scratches here and there, some scuffing and scratches to bottom.

Measures about 8 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" by 2 3/4" wide. Extremely heavy glass construction, will weigh over 8 lbs boxed.
