Rosa Ballester Etching

Lovely aquatint etching of two pigeons by Rosa Ballester. Her family was originally from Spain, but moved to Mexico and founded an etching school there. This piece is entitled "Palomas" (pigeons) and features two birds against a garden wall backdrop, with glowing golden and orange colors. There was a frame but it was damaged so we have removed it - we kept the mat it is taped to. Signed and numbered 85/100, dated to 1970.

In good vintage condition, with no damage to print. A small bit of warping to the paper, but could just be result of etching process. No frame, but we saved a square of back cardboard that had written information on a sticker. Print is taped on back to the mat, yellowing to the tape.

Mat board measures about 17 1/2" by 14". Viewable area is about 12" by 8 1/2". Will be shipped flat between cardboard.
