A fabulous Austrian brass kitty cat "pretzel holder" figurine by Walter Bosse, produced in the 1950s-60s. Patinated brass, polished in areas to accentuate details on the piece. Whimsical cat face with long tail. Our example includes the ring that goes into the tail which is often missing. Although it is intended to hold pretzels it could be used as a jewelry/ring holder instead. Stamped into the bottom with "Austria Baller".
In good vintage condition, no damage but quite a bit of tarnish and patina to the exposed brass areas - believe this could be cleaned better, but we didn't want to take a chance. A few light scratches and an area of scuffing to the back of tail and some of the back of legs. The ring is slightly loose, unsure if that is intentional - it does not go into the hole on the tail very deeply. Scuffing on the bottom of the feet.
Measures about 7" tall to the tip of tail, 5" long from ear to tail, 1 1/4" widest.
