A beautiful turquoise blue melmac platter made by Lucent, probably dating to the 1960s. This was actually designed by Raymond Loewy and features a great pattern of birds and trees called “Evening Song”. We’ve seen other plastic melmac items like cups, saucers and plates in this line, which also came in pink.
This would be wonderful as a serving dish or as a display piece in your modern home. Marked on the bottom with “Lucent Melmac, quality melamine dinnerware”. In good condition with no major damage. There are several scratches and scuffs to the surface that are not as visible unless the plate is looked at in the right light (we tried to show this on the 4th photo). Other than that, in very good shape for its age.
Platter is oval and measures about 16 inches by 12 inches.
