An amazing Sascha Brastoff resin candle holder in an amber clear color with midcentury designs along the side. It’s been said that Brastoff did not actually design or market any of these resin pieces, even though his name is on them. Brastoff was known more for his California ceramics, though he was also well versed in sculpture, painting, enamels and fabrics. The resin items like this one were produced in Brastoff’s later years, probably in the late 1960s.
Candleholder is trapezoidal in nature and has diamond shaped designs along the side. Marked on bottom with “Sascha B”.
In great vintage condition with not much wear. There are a few minor scuffs here and there, and some manufacturing roughness which is normal for these resin items. Interior has been used with a candle and there is residue that could probably be cleaned up.
Candleholder measures about 5 3/4″ tall and 6″ at widest point. Interior candle hole measures about 3″ in diameter and 5 1/4″ deep.
