Iconic and classic glass white-cased vase by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala. This vase by the Finnish master was designed in 1958 and the line was called Ovalis. The original art glass pieces were produced until 1966. Later, from 1977-2006 the line was produced again. This vase is from the later period of production, as is evidenced by the acid-stencil stamp mark on bottom. Wirkkala’s Ovalis line is part of the permanent collection of MOMA.
