Taverneau Wood Server - $38.00

Beautifully styled Taverneau wood divided server. Taverneau is actually not a brand name but a rare type of wood from Haiti. We’d originally thought that this might be in the Arthur Umanoff for Raymor line, since we do have another Taverneau wood item that does have a sticker with the Umanoff name. However, this one is marked with a sticker that says “Pantalcraft Handmade in Haiti No. 3668″ and another one saying “Genuine Taverneau Alcohol Proof – Wipe Off with a Damp Cloth – May Be Used for Hot Food”.

We’ve seen some people state that Pantalcraft was actually the producer of the Umanoff / Raymor line. However, we are being cautious because that doesn’t necessarily mean that every Taverneau item marked Pantalcraft is from that line. Until we see an original Umanoff sticker on the same item, we’re just going to treat this as a great server made out of Taverneau wood. We still believe it was made in the 1960s-70s, and it’s a wonderful display piece.

Server measures about 15 inches in length, 10 1/2 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. It’s in excellent vintage condition with some wear and a few scratches, but nothing major. Would fit in great with both a midcentury modern or Hawaiiana/Tiki themed room.
