In addition to our Fall Colors sale, we’ve introduced a new type of item in our Etsy outletvintage jewelry. We’re going to start putting up selected pins, brooches and necklaces that we come across while looking for our usual ceramics, enamels and glass.

We haven’t really dived into the whole vintage jewelry thing – that’s a whole new ball game when it comes to thrift picking. There are some serious jewelry hunter/gatherers out there – when we visit estate sales, there’s almost always a crowd at the jewelry table. Much like LP records and vintage clothes, we just haven’t had the time to really make an effort to pick up vintage jewelry – yet.

As with any area of vintage collectibles, there’s a bit of a learning curve. But for now, we’re mostly just picking up interesting costume jewelry and pins. This great little owl necklace is a good example of the type of item we’ll start to feature. Vintage jewelry is a pretty competitive field (especially on Etsy), but if there seems to be at least a little interest, we’ll consider adding it to the main shop as well.

Do you collect vintage jewelry? Would appreciate a comment if you have any tips or stories to share about it.

Your shop must do very well. Your product selection, photography composition/clarity, and website design are all flawless!

I like vintage jewelry but I do not make a habit of collecting it. From my experience the best stuff can live at the bottom of boxes and hard-to-reach places and I’m just not that tenacious about jewelry!

    All your pieces are stunning!
