Zanesville Planter
Tagged with: ceramicsplanterstoneage modernzanesville

Amazing, rustic Zanesville round planter in the “Stoneage Modern” line (also sometimes known as “Homespun“). Concentric rings around the pot and an interesting gray or steel-blue glaze with brown speckles. Believe that this color glaze is somewhat harder to find.

These midcentury items were meant to have an extremely rough look to them – most of the pots have some sort of purposeful imperfections. Please see the photos for details. Otherwise, the planter is in good condition.

These pots are right up there with Gainey Ceramics and Architectural Pottery as far as midcentury modern collectors go, although they don’t receive the same sort of attention. Marked on bottom with “ZSC 4105″.

Planter measures about 6.5″ wide and 3.25″ tall.
