Zanesville Jardiniere
Tagged with: ceramicsplanterstoneage modernzanesville

Amazing, rustic Zanesville small jardiniere in the “Stoneage Modern” line (also sometimes known as “Homespun“). Concentric rings around the pot and a white glaze with brown speckling.

These midcentury items were meant to have an extremely rough look to them – most of the pots have some sort of purposeful imperfections. Please see the photos for details. The planter is in good condition. There is a small chip off the bottom that doesn’t really affect how it’s displayed. Planter is unmarked on bottom.

These pots are right up there with Gainey Ceramics and Architectural Pottery as far as midcentury modern collectors go, although they don’t receive the same sort of attention.

Planter measures about 4.5 tall and 5″ wide.
