Wonderful modernist stoneware 8 1/4" tall vase by well-known Wisconsin pottery Abraham (Abe) Cohn. He produced pottery out of Milwaukee and Fish Creek in Door County, and was influential in the area. Bottle form with gray-white specked glaze near the top, and ridged clay glazed brown toward the bottom. Unsure on the date period of this piece but thinking 1970s perhaps. Marked on the bottom with the handwritten CP he's known for and the numbers 171 5.
In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some large manufacturing pops in the clay mostly near the bottom edge.
Measures about 8 1/4" tall, 4 3/4" widest and 1 1/4" wide at mouth.
