Bitossi Seta Bowl


A wonderful Bitossi Italy Seta (Silk) triangular footed bowl or vase designed by Aldo Londi around 1957-65. Has a multitude of hand carved vertical lines and divots on surface along with gold and white glaze decor, trending toward butterscotch brown near bottom. The interior of bowl has a chocolate brown glaze. This line is popular with collectors of Italian and mid century pottery, came in various glaze colorways and different shapes - usually vases, candle holders, compotes, covered jars and planters. Marked on bottom with what looks like RF9205 Italy.

In good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. There is 1 small flake off foot, possibly from trimming. Very light wear to the gold on rim.

Measures about 7 3/4" wide, 4 5/8" tall.
