A fantastic Bjorn Wiinblad sculptural figurine in his "Aunt Ella" theme. This particular one has a large hat and is holding a book and features highly detailed ceramic construction with ruffled dress details. Intricate hand painted blue glaze on off-white tin glaze. Appears to date to 1954. Marked on interior bottom with what looks like "Bjorn Wiinblad 54 Danmark B16".

In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. The bottom has a manufacturing seam crack that is covered with glaze. There are pops to the glaze and unglazed portions and lines in the glaze - most notably in the dress area.

Measures about 9 1/2" at tallest. About 5 1/2" long, 4" wide.
