Curtis Jere Bird Sculpture

Nice looking Curtis Jere brutalist single metal seagull sculpture mounted on a large piece of quartz rock. Stylized bird is composed of two metal wing pieces and a rod shaped body, gold tone paint with raised spatters where the metal is exposed. It is attached to the rock by a metal peg that fits into a hole in the rock. Would look great on a table in a mid century modern setting, or with other Jere sculptures. Bird is signed copyright "c jere 70" on the tip of one wing, base appears unsigned. There are 4 cork feet on the bottom of the rock.

In good vintage condition, with no damage. The spotting on the surface of bird appears to be mostly original, there is a small amount of corrosion and rust. As stated, the bird attaches by removable peg and comes out of rock easily - we will ship it removed. Rock has wear, but difficult to tell what is natural and what has occurred after - still very solid though.

Measures about 13" tall with 11 1/2" wingspan. Rock base is about 4" tall, 5" square
