A beautiful large western yew wood jewelry or trinket box with two compartments by Fred and Marilyn Buss. We haven't seen Yew wood used for these pieces too often. Features two hidden sliding compartments that ride on a piece of felt. Great looking modernist abstract form wood art object. Believe that these pieces were sometimes sold at Don Drumm studios. Marked on the bottom with the Buss stamp and Western Yew written.

In good vintage condition with no chips or damage. There are quite a few natural splits and cracks in the wood as well as burl holes and inclusions. Believe it's just the way this piece of Yew wood is naturally. Some water spotting, staining and scuffs to the finish. Felt sliders and interior pieces are slightly frayed or worn.

Measures about 6 3/4" long, 3 1/2" wide, 2 3/4" tallest.
