Fantastic Italian sommerso freeform art glass sculptural vase. Light aqua blue handformed glass with butterscotch brown layer near the mouth of vase. Unsure on the manufacturer, but this was found along with several other Italian Murano glass pieces, so believe it is likely related - would be interested if anyone might know who made the piece. Very heavy glass construction, the top hole portion seems a little shallow, so we were wondering if it was a vase, candleholder, or something else. We've seen several similar art glass pieces with the same color scheme, most were dating to the 1950s-60s. Unmarked on the bottom as far as we can tell.
In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some light wear, light scratching on bottom, 1 or 2 scratches or straw marks on body.
Measures about 5 3/4" tall, 3 3/4" wide at bottom, the opening is about 1 5/8" wide and 2 1/4" deep.
