A very rare example of Russel Wright's Theme Formal 1960s line, a white porcelain "consomme / cream soup" bowl. Graceful curves on this snow white porcelain bowl which was manufactured by Yamato in Japan and likely distributed by Raymor in the U.S.
Shown in Ann Kerr's Russel Wright 3rd Ed. book on page 260 - this is an extremely desirable line, the Theme Formal porcelain tends to be even harder to find than the glass. We haven't really seen any examples of this piece online. Marked on the bottom with the distinctive criss-crossed "Russel Wright Yamato Porcelain Designed in Japan" logo.
In good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Some manufacturing glaze misses, mostly near the edges. A few light scratches, but overall in great shape.
Measures about 5 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches tallest.
