Tom Coleman Vessel

A fabulous small studio pottery stoneware covered vessel made by Tom Coleman. Originally from the Pacific northwest area in the 1970s, he and his wife eventually moved to Nevada where they continue to create wonderful pottery pieces. This is a beautiful form with heavily speckled brown glaze and darker brown band accents, with maroon red glaze near the bottom. The piece appears to be either a large honey or condiment server, as there's a notch in the lid and a nicely hand-turned honey dipper style stick. Unsure of the era, but believed to be from his earlier period sometime in the 1970s. Marked on bottom with "Coleman".

In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some glaze bubbles and pops.

Measures about 5 3/4" wide, 5" tall to top of knob, stick is about 6".
