Beautiful Upsala Ekeby Sweden modern white and brown bowl from the "Paprika" series designed by Anna-Lisa Thomson and produced in the 1950s. Matte brown brushed surface on this bowl, with raised white glaze floral pattern. Marked on bottom with "UE 1014 ALT Sweden".

In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some moderate crazing throughout visible mostly on the interior and exterior white glaze. Two glaze flakes off the nibs on interior of flower. Bowl does not ping, but believe that is due to the type and firing method of clay - we see this a lot with Upsala Ekeby pieces. Green felt on the foot.

Measures about 9 3/8" wide, 2 3/4" tall.
